Overview:
Kazama
Shin is living what could be considered the edge of
success - graduating from college, engaged to the daughter
of a wealthy airline mogul, and generally having a good
time. Things change, however, when Kazama is conscripted
into a bloody war in Africa. Forced to fight or die,
Kazama desperately seeks a way out, but is all the more
attracted to the glory of battle.

 Kazama
Shin: Once a carefree college graduate, Kazama
is now forced to fight as a pilot in a bloody war.
With nothing to lose but his life, Kazama improves
his skill, becoming an ace pilot in a short amount
of time. Kazama becomes a veteran of many battles,
but may come upon an invisible enemy he is unable
to fight with his jet.

 Ryoko
Tsugumo:
The daughter of the owner of Yamato Air Lines Ryoko
was engaged to Kazama Shin shortly before his conscription
into the air force. Ryoko worries for Kazama as
he heads into battle after battle, but is determined
that she will see him again.

 Satoru
Kanzaki:
Is one of Kazama Shin's friends from college. Satoru
is the reason why Kazama is in the middle of the
war in the first place, having convinced Shin to
sign up while he was drunk. Satoru is actually a
backstabber and is after Kazama's fiancee Ryoko,
stopping at nothing to have Kazama killed.

Mick
Thompson: A veteran of Vietnam and other battles,
Mick and Kazama become fast friends in the war.
Mick attempts to warn Kazama about the lure of
war and battle and urges him to get out while
he can. He believes that a warrior can never go
back to being an ordinary person after seeing
enough bloodshed and fighting.
