Jet Black's Green Pepper Steak
(with or without the steak)

1 lb. Round steak, cut into strips
3 T. soy sauce
1/4 tsp. Sugar
2 T. oil
1 or 2 green peppers, cut into strips
2 T. cornstarch
2 T. cold water
1 c. chicken broth or water

Marinate the steak in the soy sauce and sugar for 20 to 30 minutes. Heat the
oil in a skillet and stir-fry the green peppers for 1 to 2 minutes. Stir-fry
the steak for 3 to 4 minutes. In a separate bowl, stir together the
cornstarch and the 2 tablespoons of water. Add this mixture and the chicken
broth to the steak and peppers. Cook and stir constantly until sauce is
thick and clear.
