Overview

Anime characters are dynamic and they certainly comprise an interesting mix of individuals that authors and writers come up with in order to bring more interest to the story. Good characters are a large part of an anime or manga series' success.

One of the most curious types of characters in a typical anime or manga series is the one with dual or multiple personalities to them. Whether it be through normal psychological trauma or as the result of something mythical or strange, dual personality anime characters make for some of the best to study in terms of how they act and how they are entertaining.

Join Frank for a semi-serious tour around the minds of these multiple-minded characters. We'll be looking at the major kinds of multiplicity and checking out some specific case studies in order to better understand the nature of certain anime characters. Hopefully by the end of this course, you'll have a better idea of the inside mindset of these truly unique fictional characters, and why they appeal to many anime fans.
