Overview

The world of anime is a very fantastic and exaggerated one, filled with all kinds of strange occurences. In quite a few anime series, the characters and events that take place appear to fly in the face of anything you might have ever studied in a high school or college physical science class. Gravity-defying jumps, physically impossible feats of strength and agility, and giant robot battle sequences are just some of the strange things that you may have seen. These happenings probably have impressed you at some point or another, but in reality, they are quite the norm, at least in the anime realm.

This fun and not-so-serious course takes you through three such basic anime physical precepts, based in part off of the now-famous unofficial document "The Anime Laws of Physics". The first "law" of this tongue-in-cheek anime physics analysis is the "Law of Metaphysical Irregularity", or in layman's terms - the normal laws of physics do not apply! Join Frank as he observes some of the more common physics laws in anime, and how they appear to occur in some of your favorite anime series.
